Greg Wales — Bermuda's Blue Flag Tour Guide | Tour 1660
My story

These are
my streets.

Greg Wales has been showing people this island for 15 years. But his connection to Bermuda goes back much further than that — through his wife's family, through a taxi permit, through four generations of the same road.

The story behind the name

It's not just a permit.
It's a brand.

T·1660 started as a taxi permit. Four generations later, it's a brand built on one family's dedication to this island.

It started with Clifton Robinson, my wife's great grandfather. When he stopped driving, he passed the permit to his son Maxwell. Then to Eddie Robinson — my wife's father — who drove under that number for years until age caught up with him.

When Eddie hung up his keys, he passed the permit to his eldest child: Erika — my wife. Erika doesn't drive taxi. But I do. So in a way, T·1660 passed through love, from the Robinson family into ours.

I carry that permit today. And one day, it will pass to our son.

The man behind the wheel

More than a
guide. A friend.

Greg Wales was born in Bermuda and has spent most of his life on the island. Before he started driving tours, he served as a Bermuda police officer — which tells you everything about the kind of man he is. Safety isn't something he thinks about. It's something he is.

He became a certified Blue Flag tour guide — Bermuda's official designation for guides who meet the highest standard of knowledge and professionalism. But the certification is almost beside the point. Greg knows this island the way you know your own neighbourhood. The stories he tells aren't from a script. They're from a lifetime.

Through 15 years of tours, he's driven couples on honeymoons, families celebrating 90th birthdays, groups of friends who found him at the dock on a whim, and people going through the hardest days of their lives who needed something good to hold onto. He remembers all of them.

We've been to Bermuda 6 or 7 times but never truly saw the island until our tour with Greg. You will leave with a new friend and an experience you will remember forever.

Out of a horrible situation, you helped us find a silver lining. Your kindness and that tour gave us something positive to remember. You were our angel that day.

His knowledge of the island, the history, and the love he shares for his home was remarkable. He had everything sorted — no waiting. 10 out of 10, but so much more.

What a tour with Greg looks like

What to expect

📍
He meets you at the dock

Greg is waiting dockside as you step off the ship — sign in hand, on time, ready to walk you through the day before you even get in the vehicle. No scrambling, no waiting, no confusion.

🗺️
Your tour, your way

There is no fixed route. Greg will suggest stops based on what you want — history, beaches, food, adventure, or all of the above — and the day is yours to shape. Want to stay longer somewhere? Done.

📖
Real history, not a script

Greg doesn't read from a guidebook. He grew up here. The stories he tells — about the lighthouse, the forts, the families, the island — come from a lifetime of knowing this place.

🤝
He goes above and beyond

Read the reviews. Greg has arranged surprise visits between old friends, remembered honeymoon destinations, kept people company through hard days, and shown up at the dock early every single time.

Back on time. Always.

For cruise passengers especially — getting back to the ship on time is his first priority, built into how he plans the day from the start. It comes up in almost every review. You don't have to worry about it.

🌺
You leave as a friend

Almost everyone who books a tour with Greg walks away saying the same thing — that they made a friend. Not in a vague, marketing way. In the real way, where they give his number to everyone they know.

Now you know
the story.

The only thing left is to see the island the way Greg shows it. Build your tour or text him directly — he replies fast.
